Bikes at the zoo.

Again we got busy on Sunday, na now it is Tuesday.  We went to dinner at the home of a Family from Nates old ward.  They had moved to a huge house that Nate did not know about.  When we got there Maesyn said , "This is the biggest home i've ever seen."  They even had a play ground out back!

On Saturday we went for a bike ride at Papago Park.  Nate got a used mountain bike for Christmas and I bought a used rack for the car so that we can take our bikes places and we are glad we got it.  W were right by the zoo, so we decided to ride our bikes at the zoo as well.

I cannot believe I forgot to write on Sunday.  On Monday of last week Tara, Nate's older sister, came back from a trip to India, and China.  She brought presents for all of us.  Nate got a ncie ties.  I got a set of pearls, real pearls.  Maesyn got an Indian outfit and Jake got a Chine dragon kite.  Maesyn ws not impressed with the outfit and when we asked her to try it on she said. "When I say I hate it, I hate it!"
I knew exactly where she got that from. That morning i was doing her hair in pigtails and she did not want pig tails.  I told her that she had to let me finish and if she hated it she did not have to keep them in. Well, she hated it!

On Monday of this week we watched derrick and summer's little girl Reagan.  We all wen to the park.  Regan is only 3 months old and she gets pretty fussy.  Jake loves babies.  I asked him to talk to Regan and he came up to her with a big smile and said "hi!"

When I m taking a bath Jake likes to come "help" because efery mom need soenoen to pull her hair and spoon bath water out of the tub and eat the bubbles and hit her with things while she is in the bath.

Today we were out of towels so I was yelling for Maesyn to bring me a towel.  I asked jake ot call Maes and he would just yell out whatever i asked him to call for.  He is a funny bosy.

I am trying to decide if I need to have a separate journal for each kid or if on is fie for the while family.  When the kids are older I'd like them to start their own journals.

maybe when the family divides the Estate when we are gone someone will be ambitious and typu up the journals and make e copies for each kid.  That way everybody will have a copy.  The should fix my spelling errors too.

I know that it is a 2008 and I could just to it all on the commuter, but it is nice to sit on the couch in the evening and write.

I love my kids so much.  I am very thankful that Heavenly Father gave them to me.  I know that i get Impatient with them too much, but i cannot think of any better kids in the whole world.  Maeysn continues to be a great helper at reminding me to say morning prayers.  I am very thankful for her.  Nate has been very helpful around the house and I am lucky to have such a great husband.

One of my Resolutions for the Year is to write in here every Sunday, Especially about the kids.  Another resolution is to have Maesyn do her chores evey morning.  (make bed, bathe, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed and school work) before watching TB spend at least 30 min at the park or swimming every day.  This keeps us from watching too much tv and Maesyn is more entertained. We are also working on having Family Scripture study at night, Family and Personal Prayers which we do OK at.  I need to work on remembering to say prayers with kids in the morning.  Maesyn helps! 

We usually to to Mexico for spring break in March, but we found out that ASU and MPS have different spring breaks this year, so we are in the process of figuring out what we are going to do.,  Maesyn has been talking about Mexico all year, but I don't think we will go there alone, maybe camp on the beach in California?

Nate goes back to school this week, it has been nice having him around.  The kids got to go to the library with him ths week,and weve gone on a few bike rides with the trailer, that has been nice!

Maesyn is smart and funny.  If Nate and I argue she always tells us to to say sorry.  She names all the dogs Tanie.  She got a new dog at Old Navy for 99c. It was on super sale.  The kids have too many toys because i just buy them stuff.

Maes is realy into gum.  It is a nice reward for things.  She has been great at not playing with it toomuch and throwing it in the trash.  Last week Maesyn went to a primary acticity.  This is her first year in Primary.  I was really worried because she loverd her Nursery tecaher, "Sicker Wacker" but she seems to be enjoying Primary.  Shen she hears songs in the Primray CD she gets really excited asd says "we sign theis in Primary!"

Maes is being such a good singer, she was singing the wood badge song a lot htis week.

Maes wants a bigger hosu with a yard for a dog and a chimney.  Jake got his firts haricut this morning.  It was getting a little long in the bck. Jake lives to do what his big  sister does.

If you ask jake to dance he whill tap one foot.  If maesyn turns in ircles jake will as well.  On sautrday we went running at Papgo park.  After our runwe hike up to the hole in the rock and then just walked around.  Jake loves birds and love to follow them. He does it at the zoo as well.  Nate and I are not a big fan of birds, but I think now we will pay more attention to them.

Jake has a little ingrown toenail that is infected, so he has to take an antibiotic for it.  I am bad at remembering medicine for the kids and myself.  It is so fun to watch him play and to watch him interact with Maes. He is such a sweet boy and is always ful of loves.

Maesyn has an imaginary friend named Tanna.  She ahs be hit by a car, has a dog and a back yard.  She has named her remote control dog Tanie.  Maesyn also has a friend in our complex named Michelle.  She is from Peru and speaks Spanish, so Maesyn says that she can speak Spanish too.  It is funny to hear her speak Spanish.  Maesyn got some new dresses on sale on New Years, one is white and she says it is her wedding dress.  She loves to cut up paper with scissors.
