Wild Life World Zoo

At the beginning of May we went to the Wildlife World Zoo with Tara and Mandi and Tara's room made Sharon and Cousin boy Reagan. This is a new zoo and it was not crowed ed and not really manned with lots of employees. Thus we reached into cages and pet animals that would not eat us.. and Reagan shared his sippie with a Lama.
It was an amazing zoo, but they do not allow outside food. We picnicked in the hot parking lot, but then I took some snacks in for my pregnant self to much on.
All in all we had a great day. How often do you get to feed a Giraffe?

Feeding the birds some apples. They would land right on you to eat! Maesyn was very brave to feed the birds.
Aunt Tara and Nate and Jake and Maes. Jake was content to just watch!
Lamas.
Feeding the Giraffes. You just drop the food on their tongues.

They have really long tongues.
It is kinda yucky!

Oh and they did have a fun petting zoo, no pictures because two goats started to eat my skirt and I had to leave.
And they had some prairie dogs that were nursing like 500 babies while standing on all fours. I felt a special closeness to them.

Phoenix Zoo

Thanks to Grandma Garner we have a Zoo pass, and it is getting nice enough to go to the zoo again. It was still hot- but at least it was below 100.
Jake is at the age where he could just watch animals for hours. He was only afraid of the orangutans. Which happen to be one of Maesy's favorites.
Maesyn held the map and told us where we were going and what we would see.
Here they are feeding the ducks.
Snow cones- without syrup (maesyn hates that)- They just give us these for free- and it is great because they don't get sticky.
Especially nice when Jake decides to use his to cool off and to cool off Mason Patchett- one of our friends that we met up with at the zoo.
