Jakes diorama for Flat Stanley is coming along so well. He did this all alone. He is amazing. He was having trouble with the tree and I directed him to his book. I have a goal to be very minimal with the execution of a project. It is hard but our kids need to see that they are capable of doing these things. And he is.
Jake takes the more traditional approach and just dresses up on the designated days. Today is crazy hair day. He is pretty excited about it.
Jake and nate are at it again. Jake will go with nate almost every weekend and nate is not opposes to taking Jake out of school to go either. Nate had some friends up this weekend and Jake decided last minute to join in. I was going to pick him up after basketball. We were worried that he might slow the group down as Nate's friends wanted to do some hard stuff. Turns out Jake did blacks and double blacks and stayed the whole say. He is a pretty tough kid.
Maesyn decided to do basketball again this year. She is in swimming 3x a week and has basketball on saturdays, running club on thursdays, piano on tuesdays, activity days 2x a month as well as art club every other week that we are in town. Maesyn had to give up gymnastics for basketball season and we meet at the church on monday after school to practice basketball. Busy girl!. I am so great full for the volunteers that help out our kids.

On Wednesday Jake attended his first pack meeting. He earned his bobcat and a yellow bead for completing 3 of his 12 required achievements. They are changing the program up in June so it is our goal to have him has his wolf before then. He also prepared a meal for our family. He really enjoys scouts and gets upset if his den meetings are cancled.
Mesa has a new bike park...I posted about it in November, but for Christmas Jake was able to ride his new mountain bike. So cool.
We are trying to be more consistent about taking the kids out one on one. Jake and nate go snowboarding together almost every Saturday in the winter, so he is having a lot of one on one. Ben and I have mornings 3x a week. Maesyn and I went out to a movie and to have sushi. Maesyn was a fan.
Mikah is very particular about her clothes. Her pants must be stretchy and animal print if possible. She is upset in one of these photos because her socks and shoes apparently do not match. She is also an amazing dancer.
Ben is really in love with Thomas, but it sounds more like Tnonas. He calls trains Cho Choo train train. Chuga chugga Choo choo. We have been having to build and rebuild this train set on a daily basis. He also loves Daniel tigers neighborhood and sings the songs from the show. In fact. He is quite the singer and sings aling to the radio and loves singing in nursery.
Mikah is going to the same pre school that Jake attended. When I went to pick her up last week they were all out in their snow clothes sledding. So much fun.
We started a running club at the elementary school and mid school this year. Here is Maesyn and her friend Tyann Wallentine all decked out for cool weather running.
