Easter

We started out this Easter Season with the Easter Pageant at the Temple the Thursday before Easter. Jake decided that the set looked like the set at Disneyland where you see the Princesses dance, so he insisted on looking for a princess among the cast members. Then during the performance I assured him that there would be dancing Princesses (the 10 virgins) and he asked for them continually through out the program. He was silent during their part and then wanted more. All in all the pageant was preformed wonderfully and it was a great start to our Easter weekend.

The Easter Bunny and Mom and Dad provide gifts at Easter so there is a big load received.
Jake had peed all over our bed so he is in his diaper only, Maes is wearing her new PJ's.
It is a good time to give them the swimsuits that I bought on clearance last season. They also received gardening tools, bug catchers, fun towels and a little bit of candy. Maesyn had said that the Easter bunny would bring "butter cups" (peanut butter cups) and a chocolate bunny. Jake had requested suckers.
He must have heard, because they were all there. He only got good chocolate bunnies because Maesyn's has yet to be opened and I just threw Jake's out this morning. He had been carrying it around and chocolate that has been carted around in the hands of a two year old does not go into my mouth. (after all I do not to catch stuff I still have a cold!!!) I will end up eating Maesyn's I'm sure.
They also got fun towels to use when they take baths. A bunny and a froggie!!!.
We ended up going to 3 different wards that Sunday. Nate's grandparents were reporting after their second mission, this time to Fiji. Then we intended to attend the rest of the meetings with my parents and sisters that were in town, but we only made it for the last half hour or so, so Nate and I went to sacrament meeting at another ward that was meeting at their building. When all was said and done we realized that we did have time to go to our ward meetings before dinner, so we headed home, made some pies and then headed to our ward. Nate ended up teaching Maesyn's class with another Dad and then it was off to 2 Easter dinners and 2 Easter Egg Hunts!!! What a fun LONG Day.
