First Day of School 2014/2015 school year

 Maesyn and Jake started school.  We are on a modified year round schedule so they start late July and they get 2 weeks off in October, 2 weeks off for Christmas and 2 weeks off in Spring.  I really like it  Maesyn is in the 5th grade and in the gifted class.  She will move on with this same group of kids for several more years. 

Jake is in the 2nd grade this year and he has a pretty fun teacher.  He is going to have a great year.

Mikah gets a hair cut

Mikah got over 8 inches of her hair cut off and will be donating it.  I will miss her long hair but not the fights to brush it.  She looks super cute!

Jake's annual Greer fishing trip

Jake caught a load if fish this year in Greer.  He was so excited!

Family bike rides are the best...

 It is really cool that just around the corner from our house we are on dirt roads and surrounded by forest.  We all went out for a ride, but Maesyn and Jake are much faster than we are.  So they finished up before we took photos. 

 Look at that long hair.  She wants to get it cut...I will miss braiding it but not brushing it.

Sunday afternoon bike ride

We have early church and I find I waste the rest if the day away watching tv or something.  So while the weather is nice we like to go in family bike rides.  The big kids got ahead if us and we stayed with Mikah while Ben fell asleep!  Love where we live.  The weather is beautiful.

Bike the bluff

I decided to jump up an do the 58 mile citizens ride for bike the bluff this year.  It is the longest ride I have ever done and it was brutal.  I was up for te distance but the wind was awful.  There were lots if crashes.  Only 3 women completed the citizens ride so I gotta podium with 3rd place!
